We offer a wide range of bicycles to select from to ensure that your bike for the trip will be perfect for you and for the terrain you will be cycling on. All of our bikes are high-performance, regularly maintained and changed on a yearly basis to ensure that you the best possible experience cycling with us.
Electric mountain bike
Our go-to machine for most of our cycling activities. Electric mountain bikes are perfect for exploring Slovenian countryside because they allow us to keep our group together even if the fitness level of participants varies. As you pedal, the bike gives additional power relative to yours and make cycling just as challenging as you want it to be. Perfect for enjoying the views and surrounding and not compromising some of the top sights just because they are remote. Because they are electric, bikes have fatter tyres than usual to provide extra grip, while it doesn’t compromise the tarmac performance much.
All our e-bikes are high-performance with 250W motors and 5 levels of power up to 360%. They are equipped with 500Wh battery and a high-quality rear derailleur and disc brakes.

Gravel Bike
Experience the perfect blend of adventure and comfort with our gravel bikes.
Designed for off-road exploration, it effortlessly tackles gravel paths and rugged trails whilst maintaining good speed and comfort on all types of tarmac.
Its balanced geometry ensures stability and agility, while the relaxed positioning provides long-distance comfort and brings joy to every kilometer you will ride.
Road bike
For our road cycling tours, we use road bikes that are both comfortable and fast. Endurance geometry allows for an average cyclist to enjoy longer stages without back pain and makes for a smooth ride on some of rougher alpine roads.
Upon request, we offer a professional bike fitting service to set up a bike exactly for you. We recommend bringing your own pedals or let us know what kind you prefer in advance.
Our road bikes are unisex, equally comfortable for men and women. The saddle can be changed upon bike fitting.
Trekking bike
Some of our tours are taking place on flatter terrain, where e-bikes are not necessary. If you wish to rely solely on your legs, trekking bikes are the best choice for those tours, because they are fast on tarmac and dirt roads, while being ultimately comfortable.
Our trekking bikes are equipped with flat pedals, if you would prefer SPD pedals or have your own, please let us know.

Our one week tour of Slovenia with these 3 young local guides surpassed all expectations! We travelled from Bled through the Sovenian Alps all the way to to coastal seaside Piran, through villages , on backroads ….it felt like riding through a story book….a delightful surprise around every turn . Our guides took care of our every need: charming accommodations, snacks every day at fantastic off beat locations, mid-ride. We covered 250 km over 5 riding days. The one day we were rained out, they quickly pivoted, and we were able to visit a wonderful historical national museum, which informed us so much in terms of the history in the Soča valley…So the day became not a write off but an educational experience! It was quite special to know the history of the Soča valley as we journeyed through the region, seeing the incredible geographical diversity of this beautiful country on excellent quality e-bikes. We did a two week ride from Bled to Pula in September 2023. Fair to say we hit a lot of problems courtesy of BA with rescheduled and diverted flights, lost bags, problems with our own bikes, returning rental bikes and more. Daja was simply amazing in helping us sort all of them out and was so accessible at all hours. She even managed to source and buy a forgotten Thru-axle and deliver it personally to our hotel, which is far and above any service i would reasonably expect. Thank you !!

The route planning in Slovenia was great but due to our decision to bring road bikes from the UK and the nature of the roads in Croatia, our second week was a bit tricky route wise and it would have been good to have had a discussion about this section beforehand. A Gravel bike is far better suited to Croatia although this was our decision to bring road bikes.
Transport arrangement and logistics were flawless.
Overall, i would change very little and we will definitely be returning to Slovenia. Daja was fantastic and I absolutely recommend Slovenia Cycling Holidays and will be using their services again.

E-Bikes were great (and v necessary!), accomm was great and the scenery was extraordinary! Being less fit, I wished I had opted for a days’ break at Lake Bohinj. We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday in Slovenia (two adults and a 13 year old) and I can highly recommend Slovenia Cycling Holidays for their excellent service and good value for money.
Nejc was very helpful from the start, replying quickly and creating our tailormade itinerary. We received great pre-trip information and files in the right format to use with our Garmin devices. The trip itself was perfect, cycling on a mix of offroad trails and quiet roads. The hotels were well chosen with comfortable, spacious rooms and welcoming and helpful staff who stored the bikes overnight.
The e-bikes themselves were brand new top-of-the range and ideal for the hilly terrain - meaning we were able to see more of the countryside and get off the beaten track.
Nejc continued to be on hand for any questions (messaging via WhatsApp). We were travelling in April and generally had lovely weather but on our last day, we had very heavy rain. Nejc was in contact first thing in the morning to check if we still wanted to cycle which we did. We finished early and we and the bikes were collected earlier than scheduled to avoid having to hang around in wet gear.
The scenery we cycled through from Ljubljana to Lake Bled was beautiful and the people we met were friendly and welcoming. We hope to return soon.

Europe Cycling Holidays organized a customized, self-guided road cycling trip for my husband and I from Ljubljana to the Julian Alps and ending in Piran in Slovenia. At the beginning of the organizing process, I used their ZOOM mtg option to ask a lot of questions and determine what we wanted e.g. hotels, room upgrades, routes, etc. With follow-up emails over the next few weeks, and fixing a few glitches that arose, we were excited for our 10-day trip. And we were NOT disappointed! Our trip was amazing. The rental bikes, hotels, GPX files, scheduled luggage transfers, detailed itinerary in an app (including restaurant suggestions, GPS profiles, bike shops en route, luggage pickups), etc. were all amazing. The country of Slovenia is incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed the challenges of the routes in the Alps, the serenity of Lake Bled, the spectacular scenery of Goriška Brda wine region, and everything in between. We had quick responses via WhatsApp from Customer Service for any issues we had during our trip e.g. organizing a van transfer on a day we decided not to ride due to a fall and bad weather. Overall, we had a great experience in Slovenia and highly recommend Europe Cycling Holidays.

We were unlucky on the final day to strike severe thunderstorms which made the day very difficult and less enjoyable. The weather stopped us enjoying the wonderful scenery into Piran. Timotej offered to transport us, but we wished to complete the ride.

A very good travel agency who worked flexibly with me to develop our tailor-made holiday based on the hike and bike tour. Staff were always pleasant and responsive and patient with changing plans. Note this is not a bike holiday operator so, while they book hotels, taxis to move your luggage, bike hire and a guide for walking, they don't provide technical back up, a van or their own bikes customised for touring. We therefore had to ask a few questions about those small but essential things like where to leave luggage, when bikes would be delivered and where were our promised phone holders (essential as you will use your own phone for navigating). The hike and bike tour is a brilliant concept, the route was very good, hotels were all great, and the guide (see separate review on "Triglav Tours") amazing. Sadly, though, we did not receive the call on the rainy day (as another reviewer mentions) to make arrangements to get our luggage delivered faster after a short, but drenching, ride. It in fact came late, so we were stuck in a hotel room in Bled on a sunny afternoon with nothing but hotel bathrobes to wear! Our contact responded when we asked for help, but the proactivity mentioned by others was not present in our case.That said, the company clearly have well established links with excellent providers (some of them in fact different branches of themselves) and can be trusted to put everything in place and to respond quickly if an arrangement has fallen through. Recommended but, as their website mentions somewhere, a degree of self-reliance is required!

Beautiful country with breathtaking scenery, all the places where we stayed were superb, more than we expected. And of course, good slovenian cuisine with good wine and beer.
Everything was well done by Slovenia Cycling Holidays, from planning to service and support : all the questions answered, all the special requests handled. Everything went as planned.
But most importantly we felt safe and not being left alone on the trails in the mountains because Anja was steadily reachable to resolve any issue that might happen.

The quick summary: We had an amazing tour with this company and I highly recommend them. Details as follows: I worked with Klemen to set up a 16-day self-guided tour through Slovenia and Istria. I met with Klemen via video chat and explained what we had in mind in terms of ride terrain, miles per day, hotel types, etc…Klemen very quickly understood what I wanted and made great recommendations, notably to steer us towards renting gravel bikes which turned out to be the perfect call for this tour. We’d never done a multi-day tour, let alone self guided, so as the time came close for the trip, I was a little nervous about how things would go. Everything went very smoothly, and that is saying a lot considering what bad luck we had with the weather during our first week. The bikes we were rented were high quality and never let us down. The routes Klemen gave us on RideWithGPS were really nice and took us through a lot of villages and obscure roads we would have never found on our own. Klemen picked out hotels for us and then I reviewed with him and asked for a few changes (paying more to upgrade in some places) and I was happy with everything we ended up with. Of particular note was the support we got when we were struggling. My daughter came down with a cold and (as previously mentioned) the weather turned nasty. I asked Klemen if he could help us move our daughter and her bike when they were moving our luggage, and he got that sorted out for two different stages of the trip. Overall, I’m just so pleased with how things went. It was sad when we had to turn the bikes in and had no more adventures planned for us. I hope to come back and ride again in Slovenia. The scenery and people live up to the reputations. I am writing this kind of long review because before I booked with these guys I could not find very much info about them and I would like them to get credit for great work.

I loved my bike, I loved Slovenia and our guided tour. While reminded every day that Slovenia is a small country, it truly has a big heart. Our guide, Nejc, ensured our safety, and showed us his “backyard” so that we could understand the food, and the architectural and sustainable nature of Slovenia. In addition, he took us on trails not well-traveled and to people’s businesses that welcomed us. I felt I got to know Slovenia. Nejc was an outstanding guide.
Our group of four asked for e-biking and we got it. As older people we were treated to rideable roads, two-track and a few single-track trails.
